5/30 Weight - 203

6/4 Weight - 207

6/4 Sugars - 106

Weight shot up a bit the past week, which isn't good.  Time to strap Brandon on my back and start running around the block.  Sugars look to be doing good, which is a good sign.  My goal is to try and stay around 205 which might be a bit more difficult than I hoped but all it means is that I'll need to start seriously working out.

I went to check my blood sugar this morning and it turns out that when the battery is low on my monitor it decides to no longer calculate.  The weight is going good, even though I had a complete and total diet meltdown on Saturday (pizza and cookies) but I can tell you one thing.  No matter how long you go without, there is nothing quite like biting into a soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie.  In the meantime, I'm involved in two major UI rewrites for two different companies.  By the end of these I think my goal of really understanding Javascript will be complete.

Up a few pounds this week, which isn't surprising really.  Lots of things going on that are making it hard to get back to working out but hopefully they will all pay off.  Sugars are still doing good with no medication which is awesome.

Everything looking good with half the Metformin.  This next week will be the big test as I'm dropping the med altogether.  The scale will also be interesting, Brandon's birthday party was this weekend and I was a weak man.  I had cake.  If it was my kink I'd probably flog myself, instead I'll blog about it.  There have been many foods that I thought I missed while I was on Medifast and once I had them again I realized I didn't miss them all that much.  Cake almost fell into this category, almost

Sugars: 84

My blood sugar has been lower since I've started taking less of my Metformin.  Not quite sure what to think about that one.  I'm keeping a pretty close eye on it.  It was down at 64 today after doing some yard work, which I don't think I've ever seen it that low since I was taking glyburide.

3/26 and 4/2 Weigh ins

I'm on the weight yo-yo.  Dropped 3 pounds on 3/26 and then put it back on 4/2.  I'm sitting at 207 right now, which isn't a terrible spot to be I suppose.  The more exciting news is that I'll be dropping my Metformin after talking with my doctor.  It's a watershed moment for me, a year ago I never would've thought it was possible that I'd be off all of my medications.

When I first stepped on the scale it said, congratulations you are a normal weight!  I thought that's interesting, let's see how much weight I've lost and then it said 11 pounds and I knew something was wrong.  So I recalibrated the Wii scale and it turns out that when your two year old son presses down on the scale during calibration it doesn't work quite correctly.  It turns out that I put on two pounds which isn't surprising considering the following:  I had sushi one night, salad rolls the next and then a date night (with a fancy dinner) from Thursday to Sunday.

I realized today that it's been three weeks since my last post.  I only had a good excuse for one of those as I was on vacation.  Transitioning off of Medifast is harder than being on the diet as it's far easier to succumb to temptation.  All in all it's going well though, only 11 more weeks!

Lost 4 pounds this week and my sugars were below 100 again.  Things are still going good, only 14 more weeks of transition diet!

Weight was unchanged this week which was good.  Didn't make through Super Bowl Sunday without cheating which is bad.  Sugars were at 96 which is also good.  Curious to see what next week brings with the introduction of grains again.
